11 Apr 2018 – ICDL Asia General Manager, Ms Tina Wu, attended the signing ceremony with Shunde Polytechnic and Wintour Technology & Education. In the event, Ms Tina Wu presented the plaque to Mr Chen Jian, Dean of Tourism and Hotel Management from Shunde Polytechnic, in the presence of Mr Huang Xin, CEO of Wintour Technology & Education, in officiating Shunde Polytechnic to become an ICDL Centre.

ICDL Computing Module set to nurture more young talents in Korea

As computational thinking and basic coding has become a trend and seemingly necessary basic skills for the new generation to have. ICDL Asia and Korea Productivity Centre (KPC) has successfully developed the ICDL Computing module (Korean version) for the students in Universities and International Schools.

21 March 2018 – ICDL Asia’s General Manager, Ms Tina Wu, met with Chancellor Yin Shufeng and all the department heads of Nanjing Commercial College. AMI Science & Technology, local partner and Accredited Test Centre of ICDL Asia in Nanjing, discussed the implementation plan and different solutions suitable for students from different schools.



The official signing ceremony between UMP Holdings (UMPH) and ICDL Asia to officiate the appointment of UMPH as ICDL’s newest Accredited Test Centre (ATC) took place earlier this week.

Hella-BST: ICDL Journey for the Youths in India

On 8th February 2018, Bal Swavlamban Trust, a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of Hella, celebrated the first anniversary of their Digital Empowerment Centre. A ceremony was held to distribute ICDL certificates to the passing candidates. The initiative aims to help young people in Dhankot, where Hella has a manufacturing plant, to develop digital skills and become employable in some capacity.

Wuxi International School adopts ICDL to certify the international students in China

Jan 2018 – Wuxi International School (WIS), a government owned international school in Wuxi, is successfully accredited as an ICDL Test Centre in China. WIS provide an international education environment for children of foreign nationals living and working in China and is directly under the leadership of the Wuxi Education Bureau. The school adopts ICDL to provide its students with the international assessment tools and testing platform, as well as equipping and developing the teachers with essential ICT skills.

SOS Philippines will be implementing one of its pillar project- Digital Village, to address the increasing digital divide between the SOS programme participants and the outside world. The conference not only highlighted the increased focus that the Chinese government is putting on vocational education, but also brought together representatives from other countries in the region.
