Vietnam MIC

Vietnam Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) issued Circular 03/2014/BTTTT (Circular No.03) on November 3rd, 2011 on the basic skills for using Information Technology. It states the standards of digital literacy competence for organizations and companies in Vietnam.

After much research and a tedious mapping process, ICDL Vietnam has successfully completed the mapping of ICDL Syllabus to the Information Technology skills cited in the annex of the Circular No.03.

On November 2015, the MIC issued an Official Dispatch, signed by the Deputy Minister, in response to the proposal of ICDL recognition. The document officially recognises the major similarity in the ICDL Syllabus and the content of Circular No.03’s annex. Therefore, ICDL is now formally acknowledged as a true and reliable standard for computer users in Vietnam.

The recognition of the MIC is attests to the quality of ICDL as a true global standard and emphasises the importance of a standard as Vietnam swiftly develops in the area of Information, Communication and Technology.
