Having fulfilled the skill requirements of the Information Technology skill standards as stated in the Circular 03/2014/TT-BTTT, issued by the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) issued on March 11th, 2014, Mr Kieu Thanh Chung, Vice Head of Information and Technology Faculty commented that incorporating ICDL is aligned to the goal of developing national human resource using international standards. This goal was first brought up in a proposal approved by the government to “make Vietnam a strong nation in Information Communications Technology”.

The implementation of ICDL will help standardise HHT’s pedagogy and learning approach to all lecturers and students, while meeting the requirements of the Ministry of Education and Training.

“Our teaching curriculum will follow the ICDL Syllabus closely. Our students will learn in accordance to the ICDL standard, so that they may successfully achieve the ICDL certificate. With the certificate as one of their assets, our students’ abilities will be widely recognised by both international and national organizations and companies”, Mr Chung emphasised.
