Asia Pacific Meeting

ICDL Asia had our Annual Asia Pacific meeting on 23rd September 2015 at Amara Hotel, Singapore. The Annual Asia Pacific meeting is a platform for ICDL Asia’s partners and Accredited Consultants to gather, exchange ideas and discuss about business strategies and activities throughout the region. This year, ICDL Asia had the privilege of having delegates from Indonesia, Korea, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, and Vietnam.

CEO of ICDL Foundation, Mr Damien O’Sullivan, opened the session by reiterating the focus of the company and setting the direction of the organisation moving forward. Additionally, General Manager of ICDL Asia, Ms Tina Wu, updated the delegates of the regional activities and upcoming plans and projects.

The delegates had a roundtable discussion on the strategies for the education, public and corporate sectors thereafter. A common consensus was reached at the end of the discussion – as more services and jobs require digital skills now, and perhaps even more so in the future, digital literacy is a pressing and common issue across the world.
