EMPOWERING MALAYSIAN CONSTRUCTION WORKER WITH ICDL’S INTERNATIONAL CERTIFICATION PROGRAMME

A signing ceremony between ICDL Asia and Rightway Elite, an Accredited Test Centre, took place today during an exclusive Breakfast Event for St.Patrick’s Day in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

ICDL Asia presented Rightway Elite the ICDL ATC Certificate in presence of Mr Michael Noonan, the Irish Minister of Finance and Mr Eamon Hickey, Irish Ambassador to Malaysia. As an initial step, Rightway Elite will partner with the Construction Industry Development Board of Malaysia (CIDB) and the Akademi Binaan Malaysia (ABM - the Malaysian Construction Academy) to offer ICDL under the Re-Skilling Malaysia Program.

This program is funded by local government and is open to general public including fresh graduates and the unemployed, with an objective of creating a more employable citizen. The core component of this program is to equip employees and potential candidates of construction industry with relevant IT skills such as Word-processing, Spreadsheets and computerized Project Management to enable them to perform job-function tasks such as costing and reporting more efficiently.

The first batch of training will commence within first half of this year. 

Rightway Elite is also a licensed manpower agency with Jabatan Tenaga Kerja – the Department of Manpower, Human Resources Ministry Malaysia.
