Print page

In order to increase employability and work efficiency for youths after leaving the SOS Children’s Village, SOS Children’s Village is in co-operation with ICDL in Vietnam to train and deliver digital literacy certification. The collaboration is aimed at students who are still studying or have graduated from high school and are currently at work.

Since implementation in March 2017, the project has been carried out across 9 SOS Children’s Village, starting with SOS Children’s Village Vietnam, SOS Children's Village Danang and SOS Children's Village Ho Chi Minh, and has significantly improved the youths’ IT skills for work and study. To date, 68 youths are certified with ICDL certifications. More youths are expected to be trained and the similar project will be carried out in the SOS Village in other countries.

The success of the project is shown in the increase of students’ employability skills. Satisfied with the results, the manager of SOS Kinderdorf International highly appreciates ICDL. This collaboration reinforces ICDL’s social mission to empower individuals through proficient use of ICT.
