The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the ICDL Digital Student programme was signed by Chairman of EMG Education, Mr. Truong Quoc Hung and Director of ICDL Vietnam, Mr. Pham Hoang Cuong in the presence of General Manager of ICDL Asia, Ms. Tina Wu.

With a social mission to instil the mindset of digital literacy and strengthening the level of digital skills for students, ICDL Vietnam welcomes this partnership with EMG Education as the appointed exclusive education partner, to pilot ICDL Digital Student series of programmes in 100 S.T.E.M Schools, covering close to 10,000 students in Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam.

The ICDL Digital Student series of programme will enable K-12 students to understand the fundamental digital skills, which would enable them to practice and apply in daily tasks. The programme will also ensure that the IT proficiency standard of upcoming labour force would match the workplace standard and requirements through an international certification that is recognised across Asia.

This is in line with the direction of the Prime Minister of Vietnam,  Nguyen Xuan Phuc, in Directive 16 / CT-TTg on enhancing the capacity to approach the 4th Industrial Revolution.
