ICDL India signs MoU with Haryana Vishwakarma Skill University (HVSU) to facilitate Digital Literacy in the State of Haryana
9 November 2017 – ICDL India signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Haryana Vishwakarma Skill University, a State Government University (first Skill University in India), to facilitate & promote Skills, Entrepreneurship Development & Research in the emerging areas. Ms. Tina Wu’s (General Manager – ICDL Asia) visited India for this signing ceremony which took place at the transit campus of Haryana Vishwakarma Skill University.
The collaboration between ICDL India & Haryana Vishwakarma Skill University (HVSU) aims toward the goal of achieving & enhancing Digital Proficiency of the individuals, organizations and society in India which is also the ultimate mission & vision of ICDL Asia. In addition, this collaboration with HSVU, being the first skill university in India is going to be a very important & prominent project in the country.
Vice Chancellor of HVSU, Raj Nehru said:
“there is need of structured skilling and paradigm shift, and HVSU is committed to bring a socio educational change in the society to empower the youth of the State. This partnership would contribute significantly to the digital literacy mission of the State in various sectors such as IT/ITES, agriculture, banking, financial services and insurance, health, sports and security.”
