ICDL Asia and Singapore National Employers Federation (SNEF) conducted a seminar to share on ways to Grow Your Business with Digital Marketing.

More than 70 participants comprising of business owners, marketing as well as human resource professionals attended the sharing session to gain insights from our industry expert speakers.

Mr. Elijah Yong, Team Lead for Business Development at Shopee Singapore, shared on the different marketing strategies the brand undertakes to become one of Asia’s leading e-commerce and mobile platform. In less than 5 years, Shopee has become one of the e-commerce powerhouses through hyper-localization in its marketing strategy.

He stresses on the importance of Omni-Channel Marketing and that choosing the right digital marketing channel coupled with the right product, content and experience is key for any business’s success.

Our next esteemed speaker, Mr. Arvin Tang, Managing Director of AKIN shared insights into the current and future trends in digital marketing. Arvin is a Tech, Brand and Marketing consultant who has assisted organisations from various industries including the Prime Ministers’ Office.

Relationship > Marketing

“Building relationship is more important than Marketing. The use of social media is now one of the most (if not the most) critical way to reach out and build relationships with your targeted community as well as your existing customers” he quoted.

Following the talk, a panel discussion was conducted. Participants were enthusiastic and asked many thought-provoking questions.

SNEF hopes to partner with ICDL Asia for more of such engaging sessions to promote ICDL’s Digital Marketing and other modules in future.
